my friend gave me the phone stated in the title to help him fix it, where I'm from people are not great with these things so I can't get much info on how he got to this situation so I had to work with what I can see.
1- the phone is soft bricked (Gets stuck on the samsung logo)
2- I can go to recovery mode AND download mode.
3- in download mode top left corner (Custom BIN down: NO, Current BIN: Samsung Official, System status: Custom)
4- Phone won't show on Odin, tried different versions and the latest, removed and reinstalled the drivers, even tried a WIN7 laptop.
5- I tried to install unofficial firmwares from the recovery mode (3e) but it aborts the installation.
Help? :')
maybe it's the drivers? I mean the Odin detection part, I'm not using the original samsung usb cable but it works fine with my ASUS Zenphone 5 and I mean it does connect the samsung to the laptop (in device manager I get data transfer,Composite device and ADP CMCC
