[Video] Audio distortion when recording in loud environment

Hi,

I recently became the happy owner of a S7 Egde and I simply love this phone! I actually bought it for the amazing camera but unfortunately I have issues while recording a video in a really loud environment (for instance a concert). The video quality is awesome, but the audio quality sounds really distorted.

I have recorded a video where my phone isn't even close to the actual soundsystem but it sounds distorted as hell. I have found a video on YouTube recorded with an iPhone where the phone is really close to the soundsource where the sound is absolutely fine (it has a lot of bass in it, but no distortion at all).

How is it possible that such an expensive device has such a bad microphone? Is there any fix for it except buying an external microphone?

Too bad I can't post any example videos because of the spam prevention, but I'll add them asap if I made it.

Thanks in advance.

Storage swap curiosity

have xt1526, does the ext sd as internal storage work for aosp/cm based roms cleanly? (im on xosp right now)
When I had the LG Volt, a few awesome guys got it to run CM13 finally. and when I did that, it borked the whole system.

OnePlus One Signal Dropping reboot required ( FIX ) 100% working & tested

Hi all please go easy on me as i'm not a Dev , but I do like to test your hard work out guys :good::good: much appreciated!!

Ok I bought the 64gb OPO in envy of the flagship killer!! i'm glad I did, but it did not come without its hickups :silly::silly:

From it's quite stable stock Kitkat cm11s rom to cm12 lollipop through to the new cm13 & cm13os.

I have been running it on the the uk network Three (3) .

Now the main problem I was facing with my beauty was signal dropping that required reboot to fix.....

As I live in North Wales where you have mountains & hills and mostly bad weather :D I would loose signal at least once a day but that required a reboot to fix!!

tried so many fixes but they made no difference to my network.

I have stumbled upon a fix that actually works.

no more checking APN or resetting access points. :good:

so here goes

Please download cm13 latest snapshot official rom or cm13os (google search)

make sure you have TWRP V2.8.6.0 recovery. (google search)

then download this RADIO Firmware and Flash in Recovery:- bacon_firmware_update_2016_1-25_.4.0.1.c7-00011.zip
(use google search)

I cannot provide links sorry I need 10 posts.

this Radio firmware worked!!

I have tested in bad signal areas with my 3g and LTE signal dropped, back into good signal areas!!!!

with no REBOOT required :victory: it instantly got its 3g or 4g back. tears down my eyes!! so happy this worked.

please note that I have only tested with 3 uk

this may work with other peoples issues with signal on different networks & Custom Roms. please comment to let us all know the result and what networks.

If someone can rewrite this thread with links , please feel free to do so, CREDIT GOES OUT TO ALL

Looking for a partner in code to create an icon pack!

Hi there,
I'm in the process of creating a slick icon pack, and am in need of a partner who can take my images and create an app that I can then submit to the Google Play Store. I want to create a free version of the app with limited icons, with a link within the app to purchase a paid version that has access to all of the icons. I would be happy to split any and all profits with whoever is interested in helping me. (If possible, I would really like this to work with [roughly] the top ten launchers for Android.)

I welcome any feedback! I am most definitely a newb on this site, and if what I am asking is completely unreasonable (I know the world of code can be much more intense and time-consuming than I can even imagine at times) please tell me. If you have any input on how I could make this happen reasonably, I'm all ears! Thanks in advance.

Accidentally bricked S5 on PB1 with custom ROM, need help restoring back to normal

So I have a custom deodexed stock PB1 ROM on my S5 and I really wanted Marshmallow. I followed the newly updated guide by muniz_ri on this forum under general. I followed the instructions although I knew something wasn't right. And now here we are stuck on the Verizon logo, not booting. My storage has already been wiped so if there is anything I can do using ODIN to flash kernels and ROMs, please help. Another reason why I made this thread is to get the links too because I wouldn't want to search through posts to find these ROMs. Any help is appreciated. I want to simply go back to an original PB1 ROM or any Verizon ROM where I can just OTA to Marshmallow. Thanks.

Fastboot issues

Hey everyone,

I just got my 6P and am attempting to unlock the bootloader, but I'm running into an issue with Fastboot. I have all necessary drivers installed on my computer (running Windows 10), I've enabled OEM unlocking and USB debugging on my phone, and ADB works perfectly fine. The problem is that once I reboot to Fastboot, the phone displays "connect USB data cable" even though the cable is plugged in and it works fine for ADB functions. I can't get the computer to recognize the phone in Fastboot no matter what I do. Any thoughts?

EDIT: I tried the exact same process with my 5X and had no such issues. I'm kind of baffled by this.
