backlight does not work on ant MM rom only xperia z1 C6902

Every time i try to flash a MM rom on my xperia z1 C6902 when it boots up i cant see anything because the screen backlight is out. i can hear the phone working and volume and what not but i cant see without holding a flashlight to the screen. no other os does this btw.
