Yesterday, Chrome updated, bringing with it the new Material design bookmarks widget
Unfortunately, the garbage package "com.android.providers.partnerbookmarks" is part of AT&T's "value added" bloatware plan.
The bookmarks will come up normally if selected from the Chrome menu, with the "Samsung Mobile" folder at the top of the bookmarks list. This folder and it's contents are not editable.
The Material design bookmarks widget causes Chrome crashes when attempting to add the new widget on my S6. The widget will add, but will be blank.
The solution for me was to use a debloater application to block the "com.android.providers.partnerbookmarks" from loading.
After that, the Material design bookmarks Widget is working normally.
Any better suggestions for dealing with this?
