This could be good or bad.
It could be bad and me might have something like Samsung or LG and never get updates. (however, i dont think it will come to this as i feel that would take almost everything that makes a nexus a "nexus")
It could be good and the "Nexus" line might turn into something more along the lines of "Google Play Edition" or more like a Moto X style rom.
To me this makes much more sense. We still get the essence of pure android with a few cool tweaks.
If this were to be the case the number 1 thing i hope that comes out of it is that the OEM would provide the camera app instead of the garbage one Google has.
This was such the case with the HTC One M7 Google Play Edition (or was it an M8?)
And with HTC rumored to make the next set of Nexus phones we might just get that. Hopefully they dont use a garbage sensor though like HTC has recently been known to do.
