I'm sure this won't apply to many people, as most have already installed a custom recovery and rooted through other means, without worrying about the KNOX counter.
However, I previously used the method muniz_ri posted here: http://ift.tt/1KMdFWe, so the phone is currently on 5.0 (G900TUVU1DOB1) and rooted without needing a custom recovery (KNOX status 0x0).
As I understand, 5.0 was the last version that allowed downgrading and Kitkat was the last rom that provided a root method that leaves KNOX intact.
So, I was wondering if the following method might work:
Any chance this could work?

So, I was wondering if the following method might work:
- Downgrade to 4.4.2 stock using Odin v3.0.9.
- Root with Towelroot.
- Use Flashfire and the steps outlined in the post above, but substitute the OB1 rom for the 6.0.1 PE1 rom in this thread.
- Flash PE1 Bootloader and Modem with Odin.
Any chance this could work?
