speeding up data speeds?

i have just rooted my phone so i can try and speed up my phone internet speed im geting 0.16mbs a sec bits man bits it sucks any clues on what i could do ? ive tried with elixer 2 no go there and a *#*#4636#*#*

any tips would be good thx
